McGrath Foundation Pink Egg Campaign

Posted on 4th August 2011

SO FAR WE HAVE RAISED OVER $128,000!

The team at Farm Pride Foods is proud of our association with the McGrath Foundation and ask all egg lovers to continue to support us during our pink egg campaign.

Since June 2009 Farm Pride Foods has donated 20 cents per Cage Free pink pack sold to the McGrath Foundation, which raises money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in hospitals right across Australia to support women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families, whilst also educating young women to become breast aware.

Farm Pride’s general manager, Zelko Lendich, said the Australian public has really supported the McGrath Foundation buy purchasing Farm Pride’s cage free pink eggs.

“Since its launch in June 2009, Farm Pride’s pink eggs have raised $128,399 for the McGrath Foundation,” Lendich said.

“That’s well over 641,995 dozen sold over the past 12 months.”

Currently, one in nine Australian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85, but certainly not all of them will be fortunate enough to have the support of a breast care nurse.

The McGrath Foundation’s Tracy Bevan has thanked Farm Pride and its customers for their generous support.

“By purchasing Farm Pride’s pink eggs, you have supported many thousands of Australian women experiencing breast cancer, and their families.”

Free eggs are sold throughout VIC and SA in Coles and Woolworths supermarkets. Also available in Woolworths in NSW and QLD.

Visit www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au for more information on how you can make a difference.

We thank you for your support during this campaign.
