Pasteurised Egg Yolk

Farm Pride Pasteurised Egg Yolk is prepared from fresh egg yolk. It does not contain added salt, preservatives, additives, colours or flavours.

Applications:

  • Use in recipes requiring emulsification properties of egg yolk. It can be used in mayonnaise, ice cream, hollandaise sauce and custards. It can also be used as a thickening in sweet or savoury sauces.

Storage and shelf life:

  • Liquid 1°C and 4°C. Eight days from date of dispatch.
  • Frozen: -18°C, two years from the date of manufacture.

Pack sizes:

  • Liquid: 10 kg bag in box, 850 kg pallecon
  • Frozen: 10 kg in box

Frozen pasteurised 15% sugared egg yolk

Farm Pride Sugared Egg Yolk contains pasteurised egg yolk with 15% added sucrose. This product thaws to an even liquid ready for use.

Applications:

The product is used in all recipes requiring egg yolk (for its emulsification and stabilising properties), and sugar. It is used in ice cream, custards, other sweet sauces and liqueurs.

Storage and shelf life

  • Frozen: -18°C, and shelf life is two years from the date of manufacture.
  • Thawed: 2°C to 4°C. Use within 72 hours.

  • Frozen 10kg bag in box.

Pasteurised 10% salted egg yolk

Farm Pride Pasteurised 10% Salted Egg Yolk is prepared from pasteurised egg yolk with 10% salt added. The frozen product thaws to a thick liquid ready for use.

Applications:

The product is used in all recipes requiring egg yolk (for its emulsification and stabilising properties), and salt. It is used in savoury dressings, mayonnaise, sauces and foods containing salt.

Storage and shelf life:

  • Liquid: 1°C to – 4°C, 21 days from date of dispatch.
  • Frozen: -18°C shelf life is two years from the date of manufacture.

  • Frozen: 10kg bag in box.

Egg yolk powder

Farm Pride Egg Yolk Powder is prepared from fresh egg yolk. The product is then pasteurised and spray dried prior to packing. It does not contain added salt, preservatives, colours or flavours.

Applications:

It is ready to use in all recipes requiring egg yolk or for its emulsification and coagulating properties. Ideal for use in pastries, doughnuts, custards, cosmetics, mayonnaise, sweet or savoury sauces and dry packet mixes.

Storage and shelf life:

  • 8°C – 15°C in a sealed container, two years from date of manufacture.
